“For the past 20 years or so, I’ve been sending clients wishing to stop smoking to the clinics run by Britain’s internationally renowned quit smoking expert, Allen Carr. Allen has a remarkably high success rate at his worldwide network of clinics. I believe it’s a health scandal that the taxpayer-funded quit smoking authorities don’t seek Allen’s advice and guidance as many major international companies do." Carole Caplin

I was a 30-a-day smoker for 30 years and know what it is like to be trapped in the nicotine prison. After trying everything and failing so many times, I finally stopped smoking in 2000 using the Allen Carr Method and haven't looked back - stunned by the ease and instant effect, I made the decision to help other smokers escape the trap. Vickie Macrae, HAPPY NON SMOKER What our Participants have to Say
Hey Vickie, yes I am indeed a changed man. As you know I have sent a bunch of my friends along to your course and it seems to have a very high success rate. I just couldn't be happier - Dave Gibson, ELEMENO P
I’m over 2 years HAPPY smoke free thanks to Allen Carr’s Easyway NZ seminars. When you’re trapped in that nicotine cycle – you really do believe there’s no way you can live your life without those little sticks But the truth is LIFE IS SO MUCH BETTER WITHOUT THEM! From the little things – like the smell of your clothes, not having to go out in the rain, cold, wind, not having to leave the dinner party and feel like an outkast to the HUGE things – the health, the money, your energy levels, not being able to talk to people for fear of your breath stinking. Smoking is WAY more stressful than you realize as a smoker and its only when you can see through the smoke that you realize LIFE IS SO MUCH EASIER WITHOUT smoking! My biggest relief as a non smoker is not having to pollute my time and my beautiful country/world with having to smoke and then dispose of the gross ciggie butts! Imagine walking the INCA trail and firstly needing to stop to fix up ya craving and then not having anywhere to dispose of the butt. Yuck I only wish all smokers could realize that it’s not only easy to stop, but it makes life so much more pleasurable. Katie, Auckland 2010 The session changed the whole way I think about smoking. My family are so proud of me. Thank you so much - Annette, Sales Manager I can’t explain what happened on that Sunday 4 weeks ago. I’m not sure if it’s how you said what you said…. I don’t know. I just know that I went from being a smoker to being a non-smoker and it’s awesome! I’ve been to the bar and had a beer or two, with people who smoke, and I’m not even tempted to have a cigarette. I see people smoking and I’m not envious of them, I don’t feel like I want to be around them, and I don’t feel like I should stay away from them. I can’t say I haven’t thought about it, I think about smoking quite a bit, but never in an aggravated or stressed out kind of way. It’s like a thought enters my mind, as it has for the last 19 years, that I’ll just go have a quick smoke. It only takes a split second for me to think “oh nope, I don’t smoke anymore.” It’s pretty fascinating - Pete, Auckland 2009 I know I am another success story for you - 40 years as a heavy smoker and your course has cured me! I have to admit to a few moments along the way, but I KNOW I will never smoke again. I cannot remember feeling as well - all the health issues that had begun to plague me, and ones that I had not even recognised, have disappeared - wow!!! And, what a wonderful release not to be constantly concerned about whether I have enough cigarettes for whatever situation I was in, and now I wonder how ever afforded to burn money the way I did ... and so on. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but if there is one thing about my life I could change, it would be that I had never been a smoker. THANK YOU so much .... Heather 2010 I just wanted to send you an update on my non-smoker status! I really never thought I’d be a non-smoker, despite how much I wanted it. It was too much a part of my life and too much of what I did revolved around smoking. I used to spend between 45 and 60 minutes a night rolling cigarette’s for the next day, now I’m not sure how I found the time to do that! - PJ "I smoked for 40 years. I've always been active even running sub 3-hour marathons well into my late 40's but I said to myself years ago, when I start to cough, you know that real cough, then I'd give up smoking. I did start coughing but it took me another couple of years to decide to quit." Like most busy people with work pressure and time pressure, I bought the Allen Carr book. And like most busy people, I only got through the first couple of chapters! But something stuck so when I came across Vickie and the Easyway programme here in Auckland, I booked in. The result - I STOPPED. To me it was an easy way to stop smoking. I'd tried three times before using patches which never worked for me. This single one day workshop did. Malcolm, Auckland Hi Vicki. I want to tell you that I smoked my last cigarette at your clinic three years and nine months ago (19 July 2005.) Every day I am thinking how very thankful and how very grateful I am !!! I hope you are well and enjoying your days helping more people break their life-threatening ties to nicotine. Kindest regards, Jan The best gift my mum has ever given me was the tools to be a happy and confident non smoker. I had my last cigarette over 5 years ago and have never looked back (plus I didn't gain weight!!!) THANK YOU MUM! - Lucy, Marketing and Promotions My new life as a non smoker feels AMAZING and I can honestly say I will never smoke again. Thanks so much for passing on the knowledge. You made me feel at ease, conveyed the information in a logical and clear manner and I left feeling confident and empowered Alex, 2009 I would just like to say thank you for your help in regards to giving up the evils of smoking. To give you a bit of background, In the six months prior to coming to your meeting I had been through a break up of a long term relationship, found out that my beloved Nana was on her deathbed, watched my mother hopefully successfully fight cancer, seen my twelve year old daughter move to Australia and was due for my check up as I suffer a chronic Kidney disease which I have monitored constantly and not least of all 4 weeks before coming to see you suffered a complete meltdown which had me put on anti depressants & sleeping pills , I know sleeping pills, a weird thing to give someone suffering depression haha. So not a great time to give up a supposed crutch, Even my therapist, I know sound American but I can not be bothered trying to spell psychologist properly : ) (only a recent addition to my itenerary anyway : ) said maybe it was not a good idea to give up so soon after so many other things going on (makes me wonder if he is a smoker haha.) But I was on a mission to make myself a better person and one of the things I was determined to do was stop smoking , It made no sense to me why I was smoking, everything about it disgusted me, the butts on the ground the bad breath , when I was smoking people who smoked around me annoyed me, I couldn’t actually understand seeing other people smoking in some places , like outside hospitals which always made me laugh inappropriately. But the point of this email is the revelation, which I hope you give to many more people. It has been about 6 weeks I think since I became a non smoker again, the funny thing I found was I stopped counting how long since the day or even what day it was. People ask how long and I say "not sure actually, don’t really look at that anymore I just am a non smoker." Anyway the revelation, Yesterday was a bad day for me more bad news about family and other things and I went to get a friend for a coffee, she happens to be a smoker and during coffee she offered me a smoke, for an instant I thought how easy it would be to have one, but in that same instant I saw the life I had as a smoker and the life I would have as a smoker and I said no I don’t smoke, her reply was "good on you" Halleyulah and guess what I said, I said my favourite one of your mantras "Yippee I am a non-smoker" But It wasn’t till later that night after a run, yes all the benefits of being a non-smoker are helping me with other aspects of being a better person. I was stretching with a friend and I just blurted out I have had the revelation. She was like what are you on about and I explained the revelation. So thank you and I wish you all the success in the world and I have reccomended you already to many friends, not in a I am judging you smoker way but in a this is what worked for me way after they have asked. All the best, Chris, Auckland 2009 The method you use is truely unique and really works. This time has been completely different to all our previous attempts to abstain. Previously, we always viewed making it to 1 day, 3 days, 1 week etc was a milestone. This time we haven’t really even thought about time at all, and only realised on the 25th that it had actually been a month since we did the course. The mindset is not “I have been 1 month without a cigarette”, but rather “I am a non-smoker.” We were in Queestown the weekend just gone, and were having a couple of drinks in a bar before dinner. When we left, it was dark and freezing outside, but there were 2 or 3 groups sitting outside braving the cold. Both our first thoughts were why on earth were these people sitting outside freezing. The fact they were smokers was a complete afterthought! Maybe that was the moment of release you talk about?? Daniel and Melissa, Auckland 2009
